Our commitment to advanced technology makes it possible to consistently deliver outstanding results in a comfortable and precise way.
You cannot do a great job without the best equipment. We have a commitment to invest in the most modern and state-of-the-art equipment, including 3-D x-ray. Here are a few ways we use the latest modern dental equipment to consistently deliver leading-edge dentistry.
3-D Cone Beam Technology
The successful placement of dental implants depends largely upon the quality of bone receiving the implant. In order to improve this process and patient results, Dr Ward introduced 3-D cone beam imaging to our Coffs Harbour dental surgery.
By using a 3-D image, Dr Ward obtains the highest quality information to determine proper placement, often being able to avoid additional procedures such as sinus augmentation and bone grafts.
3-D imaging also assisting in planning extractions, identifying cysts and tumours, and evaluating jaw joints.
Televisions in Rooms
Sometimes it's the little things that make life more enjoyable. We want patients to feel relaxed and calm while in our care. We have televisions in each patient room with noise cancelling headphones so you can enjoy your favourite show or movie while we take great care of you.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Feeling nervous or anxious about a trip to the surgery is more common than you might imagine. Our warm and friendly team quickly puts most patients at ease, but when you need a little help relaxing during your procedure, our Coffs Harbour dental team offers nitrous oxide sedation.
Nitrous oxide, also known as happy gas or laughing gas, enters the body via inhalation through a small nose mask. Your sedation level can be adjusted throughout your appointment to ensure your comfort. Since it exits the body quickly, you can resume your normal activities after treatment.
Digital Dental X-Rays
Digital dental x-rays have many benefits over film x-rays. One of the greatest benefits is reduced radiation, as they emit up to 80 per cent less radiation than their film counterparts.
As with digital photography, images can be enhanced and enlarged for the earliest diagnosis possible. This offers the opportunity for patients to seek care when conditions are smaller and treatment is easier.
Digital dental x-rays are also better for the environment since they eliminate the need for chemical development of film.
Trios 3 Intraoral Scanner
This technology provides high-quality images for your dentist, allowing for superior diagnostics and optimal treatment planning.
It is also more comfortable for you because it relies on digital scans of your mouth as opposed to bulky materials to capture images or impressions.
This technology produces state-of-the-art 3D images, which helps dentists and orthodontists plan surgeries. This includes panoramic and resizable images.
CBCT allows for precise placement of dental implants and guides your dental professional through treatments and procedures accurately, allowing for a predictable outcome for you.
