Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Arthur Street Dental requires a minimum of 48 business hours' notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling request.

If a patient cancels an appointment without providing the required notice or fails to attend their appointment (FTA), the Practice Manager or Front Office Coordinator may, at their discretion, require a $100 appointment deposit before booking any future appointments.

First Occurrence

The cancellation fee/deposit requirement will generally be waived.

The patient will be reminded of Arthur Street Dental’s Cancellation Policy and the importance of providing adequate notice.

Second and Subsequent Occurrences

A $100 deposit will be required prior to booking any future appointments.

The deposit may be applied towards the cost of the patient's next appointment, subject to attendance.

Appointment Availability and Waitlist Management

Where a patient's preferred appointment date or time is unavailable, Front Office staff should offer the most suitable alternative appointment options.

If an appropriate appointment cannot be identified, the matter may be discussed with the treating dental practitioner to determine whether alternative arrangements can be made.

Patients requesting a specific appointment time or earlier availability should be added to the practice waitlist. Patients on the waitlist may be contacted by phone or SMS should a suitable appointment become available due to a cancellation or schedule change.
