SCIENCE PROJECT- HOW MUCH SUGAR?
Globally we are eating more sugar than ever before, and our sugar addiction starts when we are kids. The World Health Organisation wants us to limit our sugar intake to six teaspoons (25 grams) a day, but do you know how much of it is hiding in some of our most popular groceries? Will kids be less likely to want sugary foods if they knew how much sugar was in them? Most definitely! I know myself I was shocked when I saw physically how much sugar was in a can of coke, flavoured milk and a variety of cereals. So many people are fooled by foods claiming to be a healthier option but once you learn how to calculate the sugar content you realise, they are quite the opposite to healthy.

Sugar is thought to have been first used over 5,000 years ago in the Polynesian Islands.
